Mood lighting
Yesterday our mattress was taken. We sold it earlier in the week, and now it's gone. It was the most comfortable mattress I have ever owned.
So I figured it would be a good opportunity for Emily and I to try out our sleeping mats, bags, new travel pillows and sleeping bag liners. Everything was arranged just so, then at about 9pm we had a partial power cut. The lights flickered off a few times, then dimmed to about 25% normal brightness. The PC was on at the time and went into standby mode and everything went quiet.
I popped outside to see if the whole apartment block was also down to mood lighting. It was.
So we figured it was time for bed. Not the greatest idea. After about half an hour of tossing and turning the sofa bed (we're shipping the sofa back to the UK so still have it) got opened out and a proper bed made.
I have trouble sleeping in a sleeping bag - the things always seems to get wound up around me. I recently invested in a relatively decent new sleeping bag which seems very comfy but has a synthetic interior that is kind of sweaty. So I got a sleeping bag liner. Turns out that this sticks to my legs with lots of static electricity. Maybe I need pajamas. Not sure yet.
Oh, and the electricity. That returned to normal at about 11pm.
