At least the pajamas fit
Today is a little stressful.
Last night the girl who bought Emily's car called to tell us that the gear shifter was stuck in park. This happened to us before, and when we called the breakdown assist line they gave us a sequence of actions to perform (pumping the brake and turning the engine on and off) that sorted it out.
It didn't work this time.
So at 10pm a tow truck came and took the car to the dealership. I'm waiting on them to tell us what's wrong and when it will be fixed. The cost of all this should be covered under the warranty. That has not yet been transferred to the new owner.
All of this fuss meant that we did not get as much packing and sorting of stuff done last night as planned. The moving people arrive tomorrow morning between 7am and 8am, so we'll just have to do it tonight. This means missing Lost (since we already sold the TV).
Secondly, I took my Subaru to the dealership in Irvine so they could put it on their lot and sell it, giving me a previously agreed amount when it's sold. Out of nowhere they told me that I had to pay $400 for it to be cleaned and detailed! This makes their offer essentially worthless...so I protested. It looks like they will change their mind (back to the original deal), but I have to wait until the relevant person arrives in their office later today.
On a happier note, I bought some pajamas online on the weekend from Figleaves. They arrived today, and fit perfectly (I just tried them on in the gents).
