Almost there

This time tomorrow Emily and I will be driving to LAX for our flight to Tahiti. We now have almost everything in place for the trip and a busy day ahead getting some final things sorted.

• Packing our bags and checking the weight
• Haircuts this morning
• Transferring savings to a UK bank account

And probably some other things. We were going to make a list, but didn't.

Apparently Emily has been giving out the URL of this blog to all and sundry - so I wanted to say a quick hello to you if you just got here and work for the San Diego Daily Transcript, if you dive with the Hellfins club in London, or if you just came here by accident. And if you're one of my parents, or Emily's (or even a grandparent or sibling!) then we still promise to email whenever we get the opportunity!

I was just checking our car rental booking for Australia (picking up in Cairns, dropping off in Melbourne 50 days later) and my reference number doesn't seem to be working. Or maybe they got my email address wrong. Either way I need to phone them and see what's going on. The phone gets turned off tomorrow...so after that we'll be relying on payphones and Internet cafes.
