Netflicks
So we have signed up for Netflix, their $9.99 one-DVD-at-a-time deal. They have a two week free trial at the moment, so we'll see how it goes and hope that we don't get "throttled".
We recently downgraded our cable TV service (from Standard to Limited Basic) after realising that we were paying an extra $25 per month for a whole bunch of channels that we rarely watched. So with that cancelled, we thought we'd see about using Netflix to see a few movies that we've missed recently, as well as some old favourites.
Netflix might not be able to spell "flicks" (if that's even a word), but they have a decent website that is very easy to use and have got Blockbuster on the run. So they can't be all bad.
Meanwhile, Tweed has written an impressive write-up of his recent becoming-a-father experience. Worth a read.
Lastly, brother Chris sent me this curious set of recommendations from Amazon. Go on, click it...
