Grunion Greeted
We saw Grunion last night - and lots of them too. Not hundreds, but up to a hundred at a time, washed up in one wave, writing in the sand for about 30 seconds, and then washed away in the next wave. It was a pretty weird sight, to say the least.
For the most part they didn't seem to be mating, apart from these young couple:
They didn't seem to care for camera flashes nor torchlight, so most of the photos I have are of them flipping out and trying to get back into the water.
We're scheduled to go back at the next full moon high tide.
