Sand Dollar

I did a little night dive last Wednesday at La Jolla Shores. The initial plan was that we'd be diving in a three - Emily, myself and a chap called Charles who we know.

However, Emily had bad cramps so ended up sitting this one out.

This was the first dive I'd done in several months. It was nice to be in the water, but I could tell that I was out of practice. I felt a pretty intense bout of narcosis at about 20m nad had to concentrate a little to keep myself calm. Overall though it was a nice dive. I picked up the shell of a large Sand Dollar on the dive, planning to present it to Emily when I got out of the water (She has a little bit of a thing about sea shells!).

Later in the week I followed some instructions to clean and help preserve the Sand Dollar. This involved the application of about half a bottle of clear nail varnish. I'm still feeling a little whoozy from the fumes. I'm sure it will look very nice when it's finished though, I may even take a photo.
